Sophia de Augustine
Sophia de Augustine was a Canadian interactive fiction writer from Toronto. Their creative focus in their games was LGBT gothic romance and horror.
Their body of work included Vespertine, Origin of Love, and Sweetpea- for which they won the 2022 IFDB award for Outstanding Horror. They were a founding member of the Neo-Interactives, a creative collective for choice-based and parser interactive fiction creation.
They have participated in and hosted a number of game jams.
They have written for The Rosebush, a magazine dedicated to the publication of 'in-depth analyses, theory articles, discussions of craft, interviews, historical explorations, and so on' in the realm of interactive fiction.
They were also prominently known for persistent community-building and an enduring love for felines (meows) of all types.
